Health & Safety Manager – Bathgate
Be a champion of safety and quality as a member of GXO’s Site Senior Management Team at our drinking contract in Bathgate, Scotland.
What you’ll do- Lead the QHSE function on site, advising senior management on all health, safety, environment, ESG and engagement matters.
- Ensure full compliance with current and evolving legislation, maintain and manage systems to protect colleagues and the business.
- Develop, implement and maintain safety management systems, coordinate risk assessments and safe systems of work for all activities.
- Coordinate and support staff training to ensure compliance and competency across all departments.
- Provide accurate statistical and performance data to GXO local senior management, central QHSE and the customer.
- Investigate all RIDDOR, lost‑time and incident reports, produce detailed reports and manage escalation processes for significant occurrences in line with GXO policies.
- Manage external contractor vetting, control and permits to work as required.
- NEBOSH General or NVQ Level 3 (and CPD programme) – Mandatory.
- Strong experience in a similar role in a food or beverage environment – Essential.
- HACCP Level 2 qualification – Desirable.
- Experience in accident investigation, including full analysis and reporting – Essential.
- Confident influence senior stakeholders on all health and safety matters – Essential.

Workpattern
Full‑time, permanent – Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (with some flexibility required).
