Delivery Van Driver

NAS Recruitment have a vacancy for a delivery van driver for our client in Bathgate. This is a temp to perm position and will lead to a permanent contract after successful completion of the temp to perm period.

As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate delivery of food products to customers throughout Scotland. Suitable candidates should have good attention to detail to ensure delivery paperwork is completed and filed correctly, and strong communication skills as this is a customer facing role.

In addition to your duties as a delivery driver, you will also be required to assist with warehouse operations, such as helping with loading/unloading vans, preparing orders for shipping and ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy.

This role is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays for overtime. Core hours are from 07:30 to 17:30 each day. Upon going permanent, this job is salaried at £28,600 per annum.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

* Assisting with Goods in & out

* Assisting the warehouse department to ensure goods are loaded correctly

* Delivering goods to customers / destination in a timely manner

* Ensuing paperwork is checked and signed correctly

* Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans

* Maintaining regular communication with office

* Offloading goods to customers

* Ensuring warehouse is clean & tidy at all times

* Ensuring vehicle is kept clean and functional

* Follow delivery route provided

* Prepare / Picking orders for shipping to customers

* Liaise with other team members to ensure orders and rounds are organized for deliveries

* Organize and maintain stock storage area

* Understand and comply with company policies

* Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of the department

* Returns:
Liaise with drivers on the return to depot and complete returns form

Requirements

* A full, clean UK Driving licence.

* Minimum age 25 (for insurance purposes)

* Ability to use your own initiative when faced with challenges
