The Role

As a Skipper/marine operator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You’ll have the opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team at Clyde Ranges primarily supporting the Royal Navy. Clyde ranges are LTPA sites on the West Coast of Scotland. Ranges comprise of two sites, Loch Goil and a campaigned site on Loch Fyne. Along with two other UK acoustic ranges, they contribute to operational signature measurements of the RN fleet.

Your

responsibilities will include:

• Operate the Loch Goil workboat and hired vessels in a confined operational area
• Operate small boats both day and nighttime operations prioritising safety
• Work and Interact with Royal Navy vessels, surface and submarines
• Operate a hydraulic knuckle boom Crane's both ashore and on vessels
• Drive and Tow trailers too and from launch sites
• To communicate effectively within a small team, working with other business functions such as engineers, scientists, visiting trial teams and Royal Navy.

Essential experience of the Marine Operator:

• Previous experience in a marine environment working and operating boats
• Marine skipper RYA with commercial endorsement or equivalent
• Crane operations both on shore and in marine environment
• Slinger/banksman with Forklift truck experience, Driving and towing trailers.
• Experience in boat and boat yard maintenance
• Knowledge of using MS office software

This role is 37 hours per week based at Clyde Ranges.
