About the Company:

Our client is a firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers based in Silsoe, Bedfordshire offering accounts, taxation and business advisory and support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a boutique firm. Our client is looking for a junior accountant to join their team.

Joining as a Junior Accountant, you will be providing bookkeeping and business support services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries.

• Accurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etc
• Processing of bank payments
• Preparation and submission of VAT, CIS and Self-Assessment returns to HMRC
• Submission of annual Confirmation Statements to Companies House
• Helping with the production of monthly management accounts and other ad hoc financial reporting
• Maintaining cash flow forecasts
• A range of other ad hoc duties to help support the team and our clients

• Experience working within general practice is advantageous
• Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous
