kolt recruitment are looking for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, well‑established automotive workshop offering long‑term stability, modern facilities and a supportive team environment.
About the roleYou’ll carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards. This is a great opportunity for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast‑paced workshop.
Key responsibilities- Routine servicing, maintenance and repair work
- Diagnostic fault‑finding using modern equipment
- Mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches and engines
- Pre‑MOT checks and rectification work
- Ensuring accurate job recording and workshop paperwork
- Working to high safety and quality standards
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
