Purpose of the RoleThis is an ideal position for someone commercially sharp, relationship‑led and hungry to drive growth. You’ll lead a small team, manage existing accounts, win new business and bring fresh ideas to push the commercial function forward.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of service and retention.
- Identify opportunities to save customers time and money, adding real value and strengthening trust.
- Actively spot upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Drive new business activity through outreach, meetings and consistent pipeline management.
- Take full ownership of sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline accuracy.
- Build a clear commercial plan to increase revenue across the customer base.
- Lead, support and motivate a team of three, ensuring clear expectations and strong performance.
- Oversee day‑to‑day activity, ensuring the team delivers at pace and with professionalism.
- Bring fresh ideas for campaigns, marketing angles and business development initiatives.
- Analyse customer trends and commercial behaviours to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Represent the business with confidence during customer visits, meetings and presentations.
- Proven experience in account management
- Strong sales acumen and business development experience.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with both new and existing customers.
- Strong people‑management experience, ideally leading a small team.
- Confident, proactive and hungry to drive commercial growth.
- Creative approach to outreach, campaigns and customer engagement.
- Experience with in Waste Management.
