Principle Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full Time Permanent basis.

Summary of the Principal Engineer role

Salary: £75,000
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday Thursday 8.15am 4.45pm Friday 8.15am 1.45pm

Responsibilities of the Principal Engineer

• Lead R&D initiatives and root cause analysis
• Enhance project toll gates
• Translate customer technical requirements and specifications
• Implement product standardisation strategy aligned with sales
• Provide technical support and leadership
• Quotation and selection processes for motors and pumps ensuring
• compliance with application
• Influence specification development
• ATEX competency lead in collaboration with Engineering Manager

Requirements for a successful Principal Engineer

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience of mechanical engineering design and analysis
• Experience of water industry markets
• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles
• Knowledge in pump engineering
• Able to interpret drawings and technical specifications
