Production Manager

Position: Production Manager (Permanent)
A well-established food manufacturer is looking for a strong Production Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead a high-performing team and uphold exceptional standards across safety, quality and output. This is a site that values pace, ownership and people development- not just maintaining the status quo.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the go-to leader for production across your area, driving consistency, discipline and performance.

Your role will include:

* Setting the standard for Health & Safety, ensuring safe practices are followed and documentation is always current.

* Keeping production areas at audit-ready hygiene and quality levels, aligned with BRC standards.

* Monitoring and improving line performance, downtime, throughput and waste.

* Leading and developing a team through coaching, training, reviews and positive accountability.

* Managing staffing plans, holiday cover and daily resource allocation to ensure smooth operations.

* Tackling issues when performance drops and implementing corrective actions quickly.

* Working cross-functionally with technical, engineering and planning to keep the factory running efficiently.

What You’ll Need

* Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.

* Strong understanding of H&S, hygiene, audits and factory compliance.

* Confidence managing people, building teams and setting clear expectations.

* A track record of improving OEE, labour efficiency, waste or throughput.

* A practical, hands-on mindset- someone comfortable being present on the factory floor.
