Our long-standing client, leaders in their industry, are looking for a Service Delivery Engineer to join their ever-growing team!

Service Delivery Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Be the first point of contact for IT issues, following them, through to ensure they are complete

* Work within a virtual team to provide support to staff around the globe with IT issues escalating where necessary to other teams

* Responsible for any escalated calls and will ensure that these are resolved acceptably to both parties

* Support local systems such as servers, storage telecoms and networking as well as managing company phone systems and time clock systems

* Ensure adequate backups are completed and monitor the availability of global systems through existing portals

* Be responsible for ensuring adequate backups are completed, logging/ resolving /escalate issues and managing company phone systems and time clock systems

* Provide technical assistance and training to computer users on the application software, hardware and computer services and be responsible for IT hardware and software inventory

* Liaise with vendors and suppliers on software, hardware, telecommunication for leased line and telephone system to maintain proper relationship for better maintenance and support for local systems

* Ability to internalise and advocate the customer’s position

* Precise and have attention to detail, meeting commitments and delivering continual improvement within communicated and well managed budgetary restrictions

* Once up to date join or cross lead a Virtual Team

The ideal Service Delivery Engineer will:

* Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution is a benefit

* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems to Windows 10 client and Windows Server 2016

* Knowledge of VMware vSphere infrastructure

* Knowledge of HP server and storage technologies

* Experience of working in a global multinational company

* Knowledge of VOIP and PBX systems

* Knowledge of Office 365 and its applications

* Knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec version 14 to latest version

* At least 3 years’ experience in IT
