Tax Manager (Research & Development Tax Relief)

We’re looking for an experienced & detail‑oriented R&D Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of clients and ensure smooth, compliant processing of R&D tax claims from start to finish.
Responsibilities- Manage client portfolio from inception to review
- Streamline workflows for timely completion of jobs
- Lead & mentor team through the R&D process
- Improve client record‑keeping and processes
- Ensure compliance & quality: interview clients, meet R&D criteria, review reports
- Handle HMRC enquiries confidently
- Train junior staff, share knowledge & best practices
- Drive business development & client success
- Demonstrable experience in R&D tax relief
- Excellent report writing & communication skills
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation & case law
- Proven ability to manage teams & deadlines
