As the Groundworker, you’ll play a crucial role in the following:

* Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, vegetation, and existing structures

* Lay and level foundations for buildings, ensuring precise measurements and alignment

* Install and maintain drainage systems, including pipes, manholes, and stormwater management systems

* Construct temporary and permanent access roads and pathways

* Set up and dismantle temporary structures, such as site offices and storage units

* Mix and pour concrete for foundations, footpaths, and other structures

* Operate a variety of machinery, including excavators, compactors, and concrete mixers

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role of Groundworker, you’ll bring the following skills and experience to the role:

* Relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Groundworking or a related field

* Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in groundworking within the construction industry

* Proficiency in operating groundworking machinery and tools, and qualified (with relevant CPCS accreditation for each relevant plant item), depending on requirements

* Good understanding of construction plans and blueprints

* Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
