Senior Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity exists for an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Top 5 contractor. Reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Quantity Surveyor will liaise closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager on a £20M project. The company have a wide portfolio of projects such as high-rise residential developments, offices, retail & leisure developments. Responsibilities:
Undertake costs analysis Assist in establishing client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies Prepare early stage budgets and detailed cost plans Perform risk and value management and cost control Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities Value completed work and arranging payments Liaise with the Estimating and Buying departments as necessary Produce cost reports The successful QS will possess the following:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, or similar Previous experience in Quantity Surveyor role with a main contractor Outstanding management skills and attention to detail Ability to work, under pressure in a busy environment To communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with colleagues and customers. Excellent interpersonal skills Computer literacy:
Microsoft Packages, Word, Excel, Outlook. COINS financial software, or similar. Travel is likely to be required one night per week. On offer is an excellent salary & remuneration package.
