Commercial / Projects The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of construction and infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland. This is a key role within the business, requiring strong commercial acumen, contract management expertise, and the ability to work closely with project and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial management of multiple construction projects from pre-contract through to final account Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cash flows Oversee procurement strategies, tendering, and subcontractor appointment Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts Ensure robust cost control and value engineering throughout project life cycles Administer contracts (e.g. NEC / JCT), including change management and risk mitigation Provide commercial advice and support to project managers and site teams Monitor project performance and report on commercial risks and opportunities Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and company procedures Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders Support dispute resolution and commercial negotiations where required Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems Skills & Experience Required Minimum 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or infrastructure Strong understanding of commercial and contractual management Experience working with NEC and/or JCT contracts Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and reporting abilities Knowledge of NI construction regulations and best practice Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience) Professional accreditation (RICS or working towards) desirable Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £50k £60k Private Medical Insurance Enhanced employer pension contribution Enhanced maternity / paternity leave & pay Occupational sick pay & life assurance Flexible start / finish times Ongoing professional development and career progression If youd like to discuss this role or receive the full details, feel free to get in touch!
