Senior Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy)

CLIENT

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy team in Belfast, delivering major construction projects across the UK and Ireland. The Belfast office supports high‑profile public sector schemes and offers significant growth potential, with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality cost management services. Our main requirement is the higher end of the market at present, with a need for senior experienced staff and significant pathway opportunities to Director level for the right person through time.

• 8-10 years' experience within the construction sector in a similar role OR MRICS Chartered Status
• A degree in a construction‑related discipline (ideally Quantity Surveying)
• Experience in a consultancy/client‑side environment (desired)
• A proven track record of delivering cost management services on high‑value projects from pre‑construction through to completion
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Experience working in multi‑disciplinary design teams and confidence in client‑facing environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and B/Q software (e.g. Q‑Script or similar)
• Competence in contract administration (JCT/NEC etc.)

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:

• Oversee and manage costs on large‑scale construction projects across the UK and Ireland
• Deliver full cost management services from early‑stage development through to project completion
• Lead decision‑making throughout project delivery
• Produce reports, cost plans, BOQs and contractual documentation
• Manage junior members of staff while reporting to senior management
• Contribute to the successful delivery of newly appointed major schemes
