YourKey Responsibilities and Impact
- Work alongside current affairs teams to develop production skills and deliver quality content for the BBC.
- Get involved in all production activities, such as sourcing and securing compelling contributors or guests, writing briefs, or shooting and editing films.
- Create stories for diverse audiences, including new ideas, in-depth research, and interview assistance.
- Learn from and work with experts in the field.
Learning blocks will be a mixture of in-person and virtual delivery, up to a week at a time.
Your Skills and Eligibility- Creative writing skills and an imagination for visually telling stories.
- A genuine interest in working with people and supporting teams at all levels.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to keep records accurate and manage processes efficiently.
- Flexibility and motivation to adapt to the fast‑pacing newsroom environment.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026.
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start.
- Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration.
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
For candidates under 19: you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) before the start of the apprenticeship.
