Electrical Manager

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Electrical Managerto join their team in London. The Electrical Manager is responsible for leading and managing all electrical activities across multiple projects, from early planning through to final completion. The role ensures electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, while remaining fully compliant with health, safety, and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities of Electrical Manager:
Develop, implement, and manage Electrical Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) that align with project requirements and integrate seamlessly into site operations Prepare, review, and maintain electrical quality documentation, ensuring consistent use across projects and teams Act as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, ensuring all electrical installations meet certification requirements, overseeing testing, certification, and record keeping, and maintaining compliance with NICEIC standards Maintain and enhance the Electrical Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards Establish and monitor electrical quality objectives, KPIs, audit programmes, control measures, and document control processes Provide technical leadership for electrical temporary works, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, permits, and site safety requirements Carry out regular site inspections to confirm electrical safety, compliance, and performance, implementing corrective and preventive actions where required Lead and develop the Temporary Works Electrical Team, promoting high standards of safety, competence, and performance Review and approve designs for temporary electrical installations, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to support safe and effective electrical delivery throughout all project stages Ensure electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation activities meet internal procedures and external regulatory requirements

Support the development and review of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work, ensuring electrical risks are properly identified and controlled Review subcontractor electrical processes and safety procedures to ensure compliance with required standards Experience Required for Electrical Manager:
Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Achievement Measurement (AM2) Qualification or equivalent ECS card SMSTS 18 th Edition Inspection testing 2391-52 Knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and standards, including temporary works codes and ISO 9001 Ability to produce and interpret technical designs, drawings, and electrical schematics Proven leadership capability with experience managing electrical teams or specialist groups Proficient in using design and modelling tools such as Trimble, AutoCAD, Oracle, Autodesk and or Revit Previous experience in an Electrical Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, or similar leadership role, working on major projects within the heavy civil engineering and infrastructure Desirable ISO 9001 auditor qualifications NICEIC Qualified Supervisor
