Temporary Finance Manager - Urgent Need

Dunmurray area, Belfast

Fully qualified accountants & candidates qualified by experience will be considered.

• Preparing monthly Income and Expenditure Accounts
• Preparing the annual Department of Education Statement of Accounts, Form S40A, and supporting schedules
• Participating in the preparation of the Annual Budget and 3 year Financial Plans
• Participating in and supervising the monthly payroll procedures
• Managing and recording the collection of school fees and all other relevant charges from parents including following up unpaid items
• Preparing grant applications to the Department of Education including substitute teacher costs, classroom assistants salaries and maternity leave payments.
• Liaising and agreeing applications with the Department of Education and reconciling applications with income received
• Preparing and inputting journals to the computerised accounts system;
• Preparing schedules, printouts, analysis, spreadsheets and such like as required by the auditors in the course of their work on the internal and external audits of the school
• Preparing and recording bank lodgements and organising the efficient cash handling of school funds
• Supervising the operations of the accounts payable function;
• Supervising the operation of the petty cash system
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reports
