The Role:

Hays Client is currently recruiting for a Tax Specialist to join our Group Tax Department based in Greater Belfast. Key responsibilities for the Tax Specialist role include but are not limited to:
* Managing the group's UK tax affairs, including corporation tax compliance and monthly VAT returns.
* Preparation of IFRS tax accounting schedules.
* Supporting cross-border transactions.
* Preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
* Liaising with and supporting the group's network of UK & overseas finance teams on tax-related matters.
* Assisting with merger and acquisition activities as well as group reorganisations.
* Continuous development of skills and staying current with tax legislative changes and industry standards. You will have the opportunity to develop in your role and feel proud of the work you do.

About You:

Essential criteria:
* Educated to university degree, or vocational equivalent.
* The ideal candidate should be a corporate tax specialist with relevant post-qualified tax experience (ACA and/or CTA).
* Knowledge and experience of the UK corporation tax regime is essential, whilst experience of international taxation, indirect taxes (VAT) and employment taxes would be desirable.
* Strong project management and tax technical skills will be required, combined with a proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
* The role will require the candidate to work independently and as part of a team across a range of disciplines. Why You Should Work for Us
