VANRATH is pleased to be partnering with a high-profile public sector body to recruit an HR Support Officer for a key temporary opportunity within their established HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation with a strong commitment to employee development and organisational improvement.
Please note: This is a fully office-based role with no hybrid working at this time.
The RoleThis varied and hands-on HR role will see you providing crucial support across a range of HR administrative functions, training coordination, and project work. Key duties will include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of the staff training plan for the remainder of 2025/26
- Processing training applications using the Personnel Administration Management (PAM) system
- Assisting with monitoring training budget spend and reporting
- Contributing to a skills audit to support the 2026/27 training plan
- Managing sickness absence records and return-to-work documentation
- Supporting the implementation of the Commission's Recruitment & Selection procedures, including use of the online recruitment portal
- Assisting in the rollout of hybrid working arrangements
- Participating in HR data migration projects to a new cloud-based system
- Helping digitise manual personnel files as part of a wider transformation project
- Supporting day-to-day HR admin tasks and ensuring accurate recordkeeping
- Experience in HR administration or a similar office-based HR support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence working with HR systems (e.g., PAM or similar personnel databases)
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience in training coordination or recruitment administration would be an advantage
- A collaborative attitude and ability to work well in a close-knit team
- Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (37 hours/week)
- Lunch break:
Mon-Thurs 35 minutes;
Friday 40 minutes
