DevOps Engineer

MCS Group are partnering with an established software engineering company that builds and supports modern digital platforms for a diverse range of clients. They are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support the delivery of reliable, scalable systems through automation, cloud infrastructure, and strong collaboration with engineering teams.

This role sits at the intersection of development and operations
, helping teams accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of reliability and quality.

• Design and maintain cloud and platform infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and highly available
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code approaches
• Build, enhance, and support automated delivery pipelines to improve release efficiency
• Operate and support containerised and distributed platforms
  , including event-driven systems
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and reliability
• Work closely with engineering teams to embed operational best practices into the development lifecycle

• Hands‑on experience working with AWS‑based infrastructure in production environments
• Practical knowledge of container orchestration
  , particularly Kubernetes
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code
  , ideally with Terraform
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD workflows using modern tooling
• Understanding of observability principles
  , including metrics, logging, and alerting
• Ability to write scripts to automate operational tasks (e.g.
  Bash, Python
  )
