Overview of the Role

Senior IT Support Engineer (performance and results oriented, with drive and energy to achieve goals). Technical role that functions as an escalation point within the IT team for Level 2 and 3 support. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate communication of all relevant support or project issues, alongside timely escalation of problematic items to line management and working on own initiative to identify and resolve issues and suggest technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Level 2 & 3 Support and technical guidance within the IT team
  • Administration and management of Active Directory, AD Connect, Office 365 and Entra
  • Management of Windows‑based IT Services such as email and file sharing delivered via Microsoft technologies such as Windows, Office 365, One Drive, SharePoint Online and Teams
  • Provide Desktop support services to all KX staff local and remote support across multiple Operating System environments including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and Linux
  • Work as part of the wider technology team to help deliver IT Projects such as environment‑wide software deployments, system integrations and introduction of technical innovations
  • Deliver excellent user experience to the highest standards, while actively contributing to the improvement of IT departmental processes and procedures
  • Manage KX Internal telecoms and video conferencing systems including Zoom, Teams and Ring Central
  • Manage software patching and upgrades via MDM
  • Manage the corporate security infrastructure (Defender EDR, Data Loss Prevention policies, Anti‑Spam & Anti‑Phishing policies etc.)
  • Administration of Apple Business Manager, JAMF Pro MDM and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Administration and management of printers and cloud printing technologies
Essential Experience
  • 4+ years experience supporting Windows 10/11 based systems
  • 4+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server
  • 4+ years experience supporting Active Directory
  • 4+ years experience supporting SharePoint Online
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Entra (Azure) and Endpoint Manager (Intune)

Teamwork: experience of working in a team

Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective communication:
    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Flexible attitude

Preferred Qualifications

Power Shell scripting experience is a distinct advantage

Location & Workplace Type

Hybrid working model based out of our Belfast office with 2‑3 days per week on site.
