The team interfaces with a vast client base and works in close partnership with Operations, Development and other technology counterparts running the application production platform, providing quick resolutions, timely communications to issues, and driving improvements to stability and efficiency practices.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Manager to lead our Big Data Platform support team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in application support, team management, and collaboration across multiple regions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive team performance, ensure seamless platform operations, and foster collaboration with global stakeholders.

• Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implement solutions.
• Provide expertise in application support and advance understanding of supporting principles.
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives for complex, high‑impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in‑depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; document requirements.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document system impacts and support requirements.
• Consider the implications of applying technology to the current environment.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicate impact; propose risk mitigation options.
• Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower‑level analysts; allocate work.
• Provide in‑depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
• Persuade and influence others through strong communication and diplomacy skills.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment and reporting control issues with transparency.

• 8‑10 years of experience in strategic application production support within the financial sector, focusing on operational excellence and system stability.
• Leading initiatives in application performance optimization, bottleneck analysis, efficient resource management and capacity planning.
• Driving implementation of best practices to enhance application stability and leverage performance metrics for strategic decision‑making.
• Hands‑on experience and proficiency in supporting applications within Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong command of SQL across various RDBMS for data analysis and management.
• Exceptional practical problem‑solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Power Shell, UNIX shell scripting and Python for automation and efficiency.
• Familiarity with job schedulers including Autosys, CONTROL‑M and similar platforms.
• Ability to perform effectively and adapt quickly within dynamic, fast‑paced work environments.
