Data Engineer; AI and IoT

MCS Group is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to support the development of AI-powered features in our client's next-gen hardware. You will use your experience in Edge Applications, Machine Learning and Deployment frameworks to play an integral role in the establishment of high-powered AI applications.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support AI model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Work with data from a variety of sources (IoT and Edge Devices).
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers and product teams to define data requirements and enable seamless AI integration.
• Develop tools, frameworks, and processes to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.

• Solid, demonstrable experience of Data Engineering, with experience building production-grade, robust data pipelines and systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Background working with IoT devices or video analytics, or other hardware-driven data environments.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and associated cloud data tools.
• Knowledge of data pipeline frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka or similar.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, system design, and pipeline optimisation.
• Experience with edge computing, real-time data processing and streaming architecture (highly beneficial).
