Position: Caretaker / Maintenance Worker

THE EMPLOYER IS: SPRINGFIELD CHARITABLE ASSOCIATION We are looking for an enthusiastic team-player to join us in our bright and vibrant Crescent Vitality Centre working with the Vitality Over 55 Project. Your main role will be to assist the Programme Manager in the management of routine security and maintenance of the centre. Our aim is to ensure the cleanliness and security of the centre and safety for staff and service users.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Programme Manager in the management of routine security and maintenance of centre.
  • Ensure positive engagement and communications with all visitors and users of the centre.
  • Supervision of client entry and exit and dealing with any queries.
  • Performing lock up and security checks for the building, including CCTV monitoring and recording anti-social behaviour.
  • Cleaning of floors in rooms and common areas as required to support activity delivery including cleaning the pool and changing areas.
  • Waste bins to be put out ready for collection on a weekly basis according to service times. These bins should also be brought back in after immediately after collection.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and in clean, working order and reporting any faults to the Programme Manager including monitoring and reporting of any potential risks.
  • Ensure all operational checks are kept up to date including fire alarm drill.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A real focus on customer service.
  • Good standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge in the use of digital applications.
  • Be a great team player.
  • Experience of small maintenance tasks.
