Operations Manager
Overview
Equans is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team in Belfast on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role with a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
Responsibilities- Manage, mentor and develop a team of Contract Supervisors and site operatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Oversee the delivery of all repair and maintenance contracts within the assigned region, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all client‑related matters.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring work is delivered within financial constraints and working with the commercial team to maximise profitability.
- Provide regular reports on project progress, financial performance and key issues to senior management, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all project‑related activities.
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for contract extensions, additional work or new client relationships and support the bidding and tendering process as needed.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in a trade or Construction Management, Site Supervision or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory role within the repairs and maintenance or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry practices.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS card – black / white.
- Proficiency in basic IT skills, including the use of project management software.
- Full UK drivers licence.
