Job PurposeThe business is recruiting for Operatives to learn and work alongside our dedicated gluing team at our new state of the art factory in Millennium Way Belfast. The successful candidate will assist in the production of cartons producing finished products in accordance with BRC standards, ISO
140001 and the companys best practice quality and safety procedures.
- To comply with current systems of working including established shift patterns.
- To work as part of the Gluing Team to achieve production targets & working on the gluing assembly lines reporting to the machine operator.
- To achieve the highest possible quality standards working within the guidelines outlined in the established quality systems to achieve customer specification.
- Follow standard operating procedures and training to ensure product is fed, glued, inspected and packed.
- Quality check cartons whilst feeding these into the gluing machine.
- Quality check glued cartons whilst coming off gluing lines.
- Pack into correct corrugates per customer specification.
- Comply with the gluing departments sampling process as per any customer requests.
- Participate as part of the Gluing Team to maximise machine efficiency.
- Participate in continuous learning and development to update skills and participate in improvement initiatives in production.
- To assist in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programs.
- To work flexibly across all the finishing departments.
- To work in a safe manner adhering to health and safety policies & procedures.
- 1 2 years relevant experience is required for this position
- Ability to follow detailed processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Ability to operate effectively and maintain standards whilst working to production schedules
- Solid problem-solving skills
