Manufacturing Material Planner Placement student
Role:
Manufacturing Material Planner Placement student at Portal Londrinatur. This description consolidates responsibilities and qualifications for the placement role.
- To plan the material requirements and manufacturing workflow in support of the Company s production schedules.
- To provide KPIs to help drive manufacturing efficiency and continual improvements.
- Development and compilation of manufacturing KPIs in support of manufacturing improvements.
- Analysis of manufacturing activities in terms of adherence to schedules and performance against targets.
- Maintenance and management of parts supply through manufacturing systems.
- Providing training and support to manufacturing staff on manufacturing systems.
- Providing planning support to Work and Material Planning function.
- Applicants should be educated to degree level - preferably in Business Management, Information Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems and an understanding of the principles of Material Planning are desirable.
- Work experience in FMCG industry would be beneficial however not essential.
- A high degree of Information Technology knowledge and skill (Excel, Access, MS Word, MS Outlook) is desirable.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- They must be able to follow projects and tasks through to completion.
- They must maintain a high standard of accuracy often under pressure to meet deadlines.
- They should be enthusiastic and motivated in their attitude to work.
- They should be confident to use their initiative with an innovative approach to problem solving.
- Working 37 hours per week, the jobholder will be required to work overtime, often at short notice.
- Role may require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, or if not held, the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for guidance.
- To be eligible for full SC, residency in the UK for the last 5 years is generally required; in some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks.
