The role:

you will be responsible for maximising the productivity of the department by ensuring that tooling is maintained and repaired. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement to tooling. The tool maker duties: carrying out tool checks in accordance with plans to manufacture spare parts, both to the drawing and through means of using own initiative to inspect externally manufactured components to the drawing and check compatibility to existing moulds following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders to cut and sharpen the tools manufacture, modification, repair, and refurbishment of tooling tool servicing full strip down and rebuild checking the tool for worn parts covering press breakdowns red tag log tools that have any issues and to review / repair where possible accessing a tool and the moulded or extruded fitting and deciding on what work is required to improve it change damaged or faulty parts and rebuild strip, repair, polish, machine and rebuild extrusion tooling the tool maker benefits: you will be joining a highly successful company who can offer a massive amount of stability, longevity and security a great management team who value their staff and bring out the best in you a large amount of time off and work life balance a high salary for a days only position many added benefits to the role including a high pension and lucrative benefits package if you are interested in this tool maker position and have the required experience, please apply with an up to date cv or call the team on for more info.
