Refugee Inclusion Support Worker

THE EMPLOYER IS: EAST BELFAST MISSIONThis role involves working as part of our team to support and empower refugees with inclusion and developing independence.

• To support refugees with inclusion and integration into the service and community.
• To empower refugees to develop their independence and to access and maintain housing.
• To include lived experience in service design and delivery.
• To work with the team to ensure the smooth running of the service.
• To provide one-to-one and group support to service users.

• Six month’s experience in the field of homelessness and refugee support, residential care or equivalent. Acceptable equivalent experience may be considered as youth/community work, mental health work, and lived experience.
• Communication skills and the ability to work in a changing environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and security issues in a residential establishment.
• Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the support needs of service users.
