893825e Embedded Software Engineer

MCS Group has an exceptional opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a global semiconductor company in Belfast on an Inside IR35 contract basis. This contract will require experience working across bare-metal, embedded Linux, and RTOS platforms, and you will ideally have hands‑on experience with complex SoC architectures. In return, you will gain exposure within a company who design best in class digital semiconductors for markets such as PCs, gaming consoles, data centres.

• Develop and optimise embedded software across bare-metal, embedded Linux (Yocto) and RTOS (Zephyr) environments
• Design, implement and debug software in C/C++, with additional scripting in Python and Bash
• Work with complex SoC software flows, including embedded processor co‑simulation and advanced debugging
• Contribute to the development of systems involving high‑speed networking, such as 100
  
  Gb Ethernet and PCIe
• Use Git effectively for source control, development workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Develop solutions targeting adaptive SoCs.

• This contract requires solid hands‑on experience in embedded systems development across bare‑metal, Linux and RTOS
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, plus experience with Python and Bash
• Knowledge of embedded processor co‑simulation, debugging tools and SoC development flows
• Practical experience working with 100
  
  Gb Ethernet, PCIe, or similar high‑speed interfaces
• Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD practices
