Stobart are now looking to recruit HGV Class 1 Drivers to work on their Rail (Containers) operation.
Job DescriptionThe Rail work is a container operation and will involve moving curtain‑sided containers in and out of ESL rail terminals throughout the UK. It will also include loading and unloading at our customer sites. Skeletal trailer training and curtain‑sided box training will be provided.
Shifts Available- Monday‑Friday Days
- Sunday‑Thursday Days
- Tuesday‑Saturday Days
- Monday‑Friday Nights
- Friday‑Monday Nights
- Tuesday‑Friday Nights
- Tuesday‑Saturday Nights
- Mon‑Fri Days – £14.00 per hour (including Meal allowance)
- Mon‑Fri Night Shift – £15.30 per hour (including Meal allowance)
- Saturday and Sunday Day Shift – £17.00 per hour (including Meal allowance)
- Saturday and Sunday Night Shift – £17.50 per hour (including Meal allowance)
- Bank Holidays – £17.81 per hour (including Meal allowance)
- You will need 6 months Class 1 experience
- You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
- No more than 6 points on your Licence with no DD/DR Code convictions
- Understand and be able to comply with Driver hours and WTD legislation
- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly
- Should comply with on‑site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
