- Responsible for the activities of the shift including assignment of work and resource allocation of staff, equipment, assignments, and scheduling.
- Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols and pathways for optimal care delivery and unit workflow.
- Actively participates in Quality Improvement, direct observations, and medical record reviews.
- Acts as the clinical expert and resource for staff
- Supports unit management in activities to meet department goals.
- Participates in evaluating, coaching and mentoring staff under the direction of the clinical manager and department director.

- American Heart Association BLS/CPR
- BSN required
- Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience required
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, community-based, not-for-profit hospital serving Montgomery County and the surrounding area since 1943. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County, Suburban Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and offers both complex and routine care for a range of specialties.
Salary Range:
Minimum 52.33/hour - Maximum 81.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
