Join the Environment Agency as a Groundwater Modelling Advisor. You will support the groundwater modelling programme in East Anglia, delivering regulatory groundwater model development, updates and operation to support business decisions.

• Take forward the groundwater investigation and modelling programme, using consultant or in‑house resources to undertake field investigations and refine and update groundwater models.
• Manage projects within the team programme from initiation to delivery of project outputs.
• Act as a focus of expertise for groundwater investigations and modelling, keeping up to date with technical work being undertaken across the Environment Agency and externally.
• Organise the issue of intellectual‑property licences for external organisations seeking to use Environment Agency data, information and models.
• Actively participate in the wider groundwater modelling community.

• Experience as a water‑resources specialist with groundwater models and technical leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑value projects, including budget and project approval, and procurement of consultants or in‑house resources.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills for managing complex activities.
• Ability to interpret groundwater model results and support decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills, keeping others informed, managing expectations and anticipating needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to a range of audiences.
• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline; a higher degree in hydrology, hydrogeology or water resources engineering preferred.

Flexible working patterns are available, including job share. The working location is hybrid and may involve some travel.
