About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. This is a full-time PAYE position offering job security, consistent work, and the opportunity to take pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks across various sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

• Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, and leaf clearance; weeding, planting, pruning, and mulching.
• General site tidiness.
• Maintenance of flower beds, shrub borders, and green spaces.
• Operate and maintain machinery such as mowers, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters.
• Undertake soft landscaping and minor hard landscaping tasks as required.
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
• Work as part of a team to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Follow health and safety policies and report any site issues or hazards.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and the public.

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
• Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
• Good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid Full UK driving licence.

• PA1/PA6 pesticide spraying certificates.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Horticulture, Landscaping, or related discipline.
• Experience working on commercial or local authority contracts.
• Experience working in residential private gardens.
• Knowledge of plants and diseases.
