✨ Your MissionAs our Receptionist/Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for residents, families, professionals, and visitors. You’ll bring energy, organisation, and a welcoming smile to the home while helping ensure every day runs seamlessly.
🌈 What You’ll Get Involved In 📦 Keep things running- Oversee supply orders and deliveries
- Match invoices with delivery notes and forward for payment
- Ensure equipment and resources are where they need to be
- Greet visitors, show them around, and create a warm first impression
- Maintain a tidy, inviting reception area
- Offer hospitality and refreshments to guests
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail
- Manage telephone calls promptly and courteously
- Log new enquiries and support with photocopying, and admin tasks
- Assist with planning and hosting social events
- Contact guests, track responses, process feedback
- Help prepare and clear rooms on event days
- Direct relatives to the correct suite
- Record and pass on messages for residents and staff
- Ensure all visitors sign in
- Sign for and check deliveries when needed
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and attend mandatory training
- Promote Avante’s Equality & Diversity policies
- Carry out reasonable additional tasks to help keep the home running smoothly
- Clear, confident, friendly communication
- Ability to work methodically and stay organized
- Understanding of basic filing systems
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Polite, courteous, and professional phone manner
- Smart, well-presented, and confident greeting the public
- Willing to take on training relevant to the role
- Able to work independently
- Previous reception or admin experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Administration or similar qualification
