Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: £27,000 per annum (£12.50 per hour)

The Opportunity
An established and growing food manufacturing business is seeking a QA Technician to join its technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with quality assurance experience in food manufacturing who is keen to develop their skills and progress within a supportive, fast-growing organisation.
The business operates multiple production sites and supplies high-profile UK retailers, working to the highest food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Management and maintenance of the site HACCP system
Development and implementation of food safety and quality systems in line with BRC Global Standards and SALSA
Support New Product Development (NPD), including ingredient sourcing and product trials
Review and control of product labelling and factory documentation
Coordination of external calibrations and supplier approvals
Management of laboratory testing (microbiological, chemical, allergenic)
Supporting pest control inspections
Carrying out daily and weekly internal audits, including hygiene, glass, and hard plastic audits
Quality control of raw materials and finished products
Conducting organoleptic and quality testing
Handling customer complaints, investigations, and root cause analysis
Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers
Supporting general QA and technical tasks as required
Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Previous QA experience within a food manufacturing environment
A good working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Understanding of BRC Global Standards (desirable)
