Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will manage accounting entries, maintain company books, handle financial reporting and analysis, prepare financial statements, and manage GST return preparation and filing, among other related accounting duties. This role involves working across various accounting functions including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Record journal entries and maintain ledgers for monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting.
Prepare and file GST Returns accurately and compliantly.
Prepare year-end financial statements for Income Tax Returns (ITR).
Coordinate taxation and accounting management with the external Chartered Accountant (CA).
Generate and present reports to senior management to aid decision-making.
Conduct financial forecasting and risk analysis.
Monitor company spending and budgets.
Manage email communication with various stakeholders.
Manage accounts for specific assigned files (details below).
Other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

2-5 years of Experience in the Manufacturing industry.
Strong numerical and quantitative skills.
Proficiency with Tally Prime or similar accounting software.
Excellent knowledge of practical application of accounting and auditing standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Capable of working in a team or leading a team.
Openness to challenging projects outside areas of experience.
Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
