We are seeking an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator to join our Competitions Team at Hockley Heath. This full-time role supports the planning, organisation and delivery of the Club’s competition calendar, with particular responsibility for non-speed disciplines, including Trials, Rallies, Driving Tests and Tours.

The Vintage Sports-Car Club Limited

Founded in 1934, the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) is one of the most established and active motoring clubs in the world. With more than 5,000 members and a programme of over thirty events each year, the Club exists to promote, preserve and enjoy pre‑war motoring.

Our calendar spans historic racing, hill climbs, sprints, trials, rallies and driving tests, supported by a nationwide community of competitors, volunteers and enthusiasts. The VSCC holds an important place within the UK’s motoring heritage, championing engineering skill, inter‑generational knowledge, and the living use of historic machinery. Our events are known for their friendliness, authenticity and the unmistakable atmosphere that comes from pre‑war cars being used exactly as intended.

This full‑time role supports the senior team on Speed and Race meetings and attends events throughout the season, occasionally acting as Secretary of the Meeting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, is confident communicating with members and volunteers, and wants to play an active part in preserving and delivering historic motor sport.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the administration and delivery of non‑speed events from planning through to results
  • Support the administration and delivery of Speed and Race events
  • Prepare event paperwork, including signing‑on sheets, scrutineering lists and event documentation
  • Process entries and maintain accurate event records
  • Liaise with volunteer organisers and selected suppliers
  • Attend events and provide operational support, including acting as Secretary of the Meeting for selected fixtures
  • Support the management of trophies, engraving and awards
  • Provide clear, friendly communication to members, competitors and marshals
  • Contribute copy for newsletters, website updates and event briefings
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in administration or event support
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive, adaptable manner and ability to manage a varied workload
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • Experience in motor sport, events or volunteer‑led activities
  • Understanding of basic safety or risk assessment processes
  • Interest in vintage motoring or motor sport
