Groundwater Modelling Advisor – 32524
Environment Agency is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist and Project Manager to lead groundwater modelling and delivery of water resource projects. Key priorities include regulatory groundwater model development, updates, and operation in support of business decisions to protect the environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the groundwater investigation and modelling programme, including field investigations, model refinement and scenario testing.
- Manage projects through initiation to delivery within the team programme.
- Serve as the technical expert for groundwater investigations and modelling, staying current with internal and external developments.
- Support intellectual property licensing for external use of Agency data, information and models.
- Participate actively in the groundwater modelling community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Water resources specialist with experience developing groundwater models.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, contract procurement, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to organise, prioritise and deliver complex activities.
- Proven skill in interpreting groundwater model results for decision‑making.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
- Degree level education in Hydrology, Hydrogeology or Water Resources Engineering (Higher Degree preferred).
