Senior Care & Support Assistant (Days) at Care South – Abbotsham, Bideford, EX39 5BE

Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour.

Hours:

21.00 hrs to 07.00 am. Alternate weekends off.

Location:

Kenwith Castle, our residential care home set in 30 acres of North Devon countryside at Abbotsham, Bideford.

• Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to provide support and guidance during shifts.
• Identify the individual needs and abilities of residents to deliver person-centred care.
• Support residents to remain as independent as possible.
• Provide companionship and get to know residents well.
• Act as point of escalation for incidents or events in the home.
• Work with the team to create a cooperative, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere in the home.

• Someone who is naturally caring and compassionate, able to inspire and nurture the team.
• Have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Previous care experience with knowledge of care planning and administering medication is desirable.

• NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or progress toward it.
• Ability to participate in a 21:00–07:00 shift pattern with alternate weekends off.
