Aboutthe Role
We are seeking an Electronics Technician or Electronics Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in digital electronics
, FPGA‑based systems
, and laboratory testing
.
In this practical, lab‑oriented role, you will support existing electronic platforms by performing updates, executing tests, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to small improvements within FPGA‑related functionalities. You will work closely with electronics and embedded engineering teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable hardware platforms.
Responsibilities- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic boards, including FPGA‑based modules.
- Support maintenance and updates of existing FPGA configurations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Execute hardware interventions such as component replacement, signal probing, soldering, and board‑level verification.
- Collaborate with electronics and embedded teams to analyse issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including test reports, update logs, configuration notes, and measurement results.
- Participate in hardware bring‑up, prototype evaluation, and functional testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality procedures during all laboratory work.
- Technician diploma (CFC / BTS / DUT) in Electronics, or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of digital electronics, logic circuits, and communication interfaces.
- Practical experience with FPGA platforms (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice).
- Ability to read schematics, layout drawings, and digital timing diagrams.
- Basic ability to modify or integrate simple FPGA modules (VHDL or Verilog).
- Experience using laboratory instruments: oscilloscope, logic analyser, multimeter, signal generator.
- Soldering and board‑level rework skills are considered a strong plus.
