We are seeking a Senior Scientist in Microbiological Quality Control
. In this role, you will perform microbiological testing of samples related to operations, validation, utilities, and environmental monitoring. You will also contribute to method transfer, development, and validation, as well as ensure compliance with GMP standards and support inspection readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing for operational samples, cleaning validation, and environmental monitoring.
• Lead and coordinate method development, transfer, and validation, including equipment qualification.
• Prepare and revise cGMP-compliant documentation (SOPs, work instructions, protocols, and reports).
• Ensure laboratory readiness and manage procurement of materials (standards, controls, chemicals, consumables).
• Provide troubleshooting support and coach laboratory specialists.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for review and approval of methods, plans, and reports.
• Collaborate with other QC teams to ensure analytical methods and processes are implemented effectively.
• Oversee bacterial endotoxin analysis and related activities.
• Manage the life cycle of laboratory equipment within the microbiological QC team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, PPI) and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences (lower qualifications may be considered based on experience).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in chemical or biochemical laboratories, including experience in a regulated GMP environment.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological QC methods and equipment lifecycle management.
• Fluent English (written and spoken);
  German is a plus.
