Join to apply for the Account Coordinator role at Ground Control

Winter season (October–April):
Shift rotation covering 6am–3pm, 7:30am–4:30pm, 10am–7pm. Includes weekend working and public holidays (rota basis, with time off in lieu).

At Ground Control, we’re not just about meeting targets, we’re about building strong, reliable relationships with our clients and delivering consistently high standards of service. In this role, you’ll act as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing day-to-day communication, resolving escalations, and coordinating service delivery to ensure contract requirements are met.

This is a seasonal, high-impact role, supporting clients through our busiest and most critical period from October to April, when our services are in highest demand. You’ll play a key part in ensuring clear communication, rapid issue resolution, and a positive client experience during weather-related events.

As a Client Services Coordinator, you’ll work closely with internal teams to support contract delivery and maintain strong client relationships. Outside of the winter season (May to September), your focus will shift towards contract renewals support, client relationship development, and wider business support activities, providing a varied and rewarding role year-round.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nurture client relationships – regular KIT calls, quarterly business reviews, site visits, and quick resolution of complaints or escalations.
  • Oversee contracts & renewals – review profitability, apply pricing uplifts, and ensure contracts stay sustainable.
  • Lead & support your team – guide day-to-day account management while empowering the team to handle routine tasks; step in for escalations and complex issues.
  • Drive revenue growth – identify upsell opportunities, pass leads to Business Development, and increase quote conversion rates.
  • Manage your time with autonomy – balance travel, meetings, and administrative duties.
  • Keep things on track – chase invoicing queries, close off outstanding PPM billing, and maintain accurate client documentation.
  • Analyse performance – use Power BI, KPI reports, and client portals to spot trends and drive improvements.
What we’re looking for
  • Previous customer service or office experience – we want someone who knows how to connect with people and get things done.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to help clients succeed.
  • A results‑driven approach with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, MS Teams).
  • Added bonus if you have worked in Ground Maintenance, Facility Management or Housing.
Career Development Focus

We’re committed to supporting your professional growth with clear career paths, training, and tailored development programs, including our GC Leadership Academy, job‑specific accreditations and higher education opportunities.

Benefits
  • 23 days holiday, increasing with length of service + bank holidays.
  • Yearly bonus scheme & share options.
  • Medigold employee support, free flu jabs, online private GP service.
  • Free or subsidised national gym memberships.
  • Employee recognition scheme.
