ROV Pilot Technician I – Subsea Cables
Apply for the ROV Pilot Technician I – Subsea Cables role at Boskalis Subsea Cables.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repairs on trenching or plough systems on board vessels or at the Boskalis Waalhaven Center.
- Launch, recover and operate the ROV or plough from the surface control cabin, typically in poor visibility conditions.
- Operate equipment such as jetting and mechanical cutting devices, cameras, sonars, navigation systems, and interpret sensor data.
- Assist in completing reports, administration and preparing technical procedures (daily reports, work procedures, risk analyses, permits).
- Plan, safely execute and register planned maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate efficiently with the offshore project team at different levels.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanics.
- Experience with jetting/mechanical trenching and/or ploughing required.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering.
- A team‑player mentality with leadership tendencies.
- Willingness to travel globally on a flexible rotational basis.
- Good communication skills and strong command of written and spoken English.
