** Personal Care Assistant – £12.21 per hour – 18 hours 45 minutes per week
**** Monday to Friday  (extra 5 hours available on alternate Saturdays)
**** Due to the nature of this role involving personal care, we can only accept applications from female candidates  
** An opportunity has arisen to join a team providing support to a lady living with MS in the Billingham area.

The successful candidate will be reliable and have a positive approach to work.

Experience of using a hoist and familiarity of one person hoisting is desirable but full training will be given.

Duties will be split over the day. An example of a typical day is :
** Morning call – 2 hours 15 minutes   (8 am to 10.15 am)**- assist with getting out of bed, washing / toileting & dressing.

- support with exercises- prepare breakfast- assistance with medication
** Afternoon (tea) call – 1 hour & 30 minutes (3pm – 4.30 pm)**- assist with transfer from wheelchair to recliner chair- preparation of evening meal- support with personal care- assistance with medication

Days of working and duties to be discussed with the successful candidates, but a degree of flexibility will be required to ensure our client’s needs are met.

Employment will be subject to completing two training sessions each covering the morning and afternoon sessions.

As our client is clinically vulnerable, it is desirable that the applicant is fully Covid vaccinated

Driver’s licence is essential.

An enhanced DBS check will be required, however, the cost of this will be met by the employer.
