Health Care Support Worker

Belmont Recruitment is urgently looking to speak with experienced Band 3 Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs) for ongoing locum opportunities within a secure male estate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a high‑paced, secure setting where you'll be part of a dedicated healthcare team delivering essential care services.

Shifts:

Early (07:00‑16:45) / Long Days (07:00‑20:15) – including weekends
Pay Rate: £15.65‑£19.00 per hour (dependant on shift pattern)

Location:

Secure male Category B estate (exact location disclosed upon application)

• Supporting patients throughout their journey – from reception to discharge
• Conducting initial health screenings upon reception
• Delivering agreed care packages in line with clinical plans
• Undertaking physical health observations and clinical checks
• Running healthcare clinics including phlebotomy, ECGs, and NHS Health Checks
• Participating in the on‑site emergency response team when needed

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• All MAST training up to date
• One of the following:
  NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent clinical experience
  NHS Care Certificate with relevant hands‑on experience
• Current prison clearance (essential for this role)
