Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Wirral
Our client is a well-established specialist in structural steelwork, delivering high-quality fabrication and engineering projects across the North West and further afield. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, reliability, and client focus, they're now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

This is a key client-facing position where you'll lead the commercial management of multiple live projects - typically ranging from £10k - £1.5m.

You'll ensure financial control, effective cost management and successful delivery from tender through to final account.

The role will be split between office and sites across the North West region.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of commercial and contractual aspects across several steelwork projects.

Manage valuations, variations, cost control, and final accounts.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Act as the commercial lead when projects become commercially or contractually challenging.

Liaise with the estimator, contracts, and project management teams to maintain alignment on budgets and forecasts.

Support junior team members and contribute to commercial strategy.

About You

Minimum 10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.

Strong structural steelwork background (essential).

Capable of picking up civils elements where required.

Client-facing and confident handling complex relationships.

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proactive, commercially astute, and confident in decision-making
