Electrical & Control Engineer; E&C

Electrical and Control Engineer (E&C) – Holiferm is seeking an experienced engineer to own electrical and control infrastructure across projects. The role reports directly to the Head of Projects and will work on electrical builds, plant electrics and control system design and commissioning.

• Own electrical and control infrastructure for all projects across the sites.
• Design, specification and build of plant electrics up to 415 V and high‑voltage (>415 V) installations.
• Develop, maintain and commission control and DCS systems, including PLCs, MCCs, and plant isolation.
• Lead day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery and compliance with BS7671, CUSC, GC and other codes.
• Interface with contractors, suppliers and cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Provide hands‑on support for installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical and control equipment.

• Electrical design, specification and documentation of plant electrics.
• Hands‑on experience with 415 V, 600 V and >415 V installations.
• Strong knowledge of DCS software, PLCs, MCCs and control cabinet design.
• Experience in FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ and other commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to update and maintain electrical line drawings and control software diagnostics.
• Experience working with BS7671, CUSC, GC and related legislation.
• Supervisory experience with contractors, vendors and multiple ongoing projects.

• Control software design and plant isolation (LOTOTO / PTW).
• Exposure to a PMO structure and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Root cause analysis, action management and Six‑S (6S).
• Working knowledge of Siemens systems and common plant instrumentation.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Control Engineering, or equivalent.
• Mid‑senior level experience in electrical and control engineering within plant or plant infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated delivery of multiple projects and effective stakeholder communication.

• Up to £65,000 salary (based on experience).

Location:

Units 7‑14, Ocean Park, Wallasey, Merseyside. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.
