Opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join ward 24 nursing team. Ward 24 is a 23 bedded general medicine ward. Applications welcomed from individuals who want to be part of a time delivering high standards of patient care. Newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply and full preceptorship programme will be offered
Main duties of the jobAssessment care planning delivery and evaluation of nursing care to a patient team following policies and procedures to ensure safe effective care is delivered.
Undertaking risk assessments and necessary adjustments to reduce harm to patients in hospital
Supervision and support to colleagues and student nurses
ensuring evidence based practice to ensure high quality care is delivered

Person Specification Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training- Evidence of Professional Development
- Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
- Experience of maintaining accurate records
- Relevant clinical knowledge and experience
- Act as a practice supervisor
- Willing to undertake Practice Assessor Training
- Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards degree
- Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course
- NHS Experience
- Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment
- Awareness of evidence based practice
- Good organisational/time management skills
- Ability to deal with an acute workload
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- Ability to recognise the importance of team work
- Competent in organising/prioritising own workload and that of others
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
- Ability to problem solve
- Interpersonal
Skills:
