Catering Assistant

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at Ridgewood Court Residential Care Home. Our ethos at Sanctuary Care is to enrich the lives of both our residents and staff, and we believe in having fun while working hard as a team.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for basic food preparation, presenting meals to a high standard, and serving meals to our residents, all performed to relevant food hygiene legislation. Excellent food and great service play a key part in our residents’ day.

Responsibilities:

• Basic food preparation
• Presenting meals to a high standard
• Serving meals to our residents
• Performing tasks to relevant food hygiene legislation

Requirements:

• Team work and a happy team ethos
• Previous catering experience is desirable
• A food hygiene certificate is desirable
• An understanding of safe food storage/cleaning practices is essential
• Caring, enthusiastic, and energetic approach
• Good communication skills and a flexible approach
• A genuine like for older people and their needs
